Fantastic sunsets come with this 3 bedroom 2 bath comfortable two level mountain retreat on five acres, located off Shulls Mill Road. Minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway close to hiking, skiing and shopping! Beamed cathedral ceiling in the living area, wood burning fireplace (firewood not provided), Smart TVs, A/C , WiFi. Well equipped kitchen with island bar, seating for 4, separate dining room for 6. Large master bedroom with king size bed, desk, and updated hall bath. Downstairs there are 2 guest bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and additional TV, one with two twins, a hall bath, the laundry room, and a game/TV room perfect for plugging in an X-Box or Playstation. Pets considered upon approval. 4WD/AWD may be necessary depending on the time of year. Property maps may not be accurate on 3rd party web sites. The view in our place was great! There was plenty of space and all things were as they were described! A few suggestions - the directions for getting to the property could be more clear, ESPECIALLY for late arrivals. This is the first rental I have had where the linens were a separate request and I didn't notice until AFTER we booked so don't miss that!

The view was great, but needed central air. We were very hot through the night. We had a good time at the property, but needed better direct tv.

Cabin in the Sky was the perfect destination retreat for our situation. The week was to celebrate my BIG birthday, so various family and friends joined me to experience the beauty of the site and view and area, and the warmth of the cabin.
Charming cabin with exceptional sunset views, large deck, and surrounded by beautiful mountain laurel and rhododendren. Great get-a-away tucked into the mountain side. Great location but you can't be in a hurry to get anywhere due to winding, gravel roads but a wonderful way to get a dose of peace and quiet in the mountains.
