Welcome to your soon-to-be favorite vacation rental spot in the High Country!! A-Frame of Mind doesn't just describe the type of house, it will truly change your view on just what a vacation home should be like. Enjoy the detailed landscape, the incredible mountain views, and the "feel" of this beautifully updated, well-appointed mountain home! The home and furnishings were meticulously put together with every bit of comfort in mind! The living room has plenty of seating options to relax, watch TV, read, entertain guests, or to just simply gaze out the many windows to take in the amazing mountain view! The master bedroom is upstairs and fully features stunning hardwood floors, queen size bed, a walk-in closet, and an en suite! The two bedrooms on the main floor offer one queen bed and two twins. There is a full bathroom in the hallway between the two main floor bedrooms. The home is equipped with nice flatware, games, cards, BBQ, Roku (for Prime/Hulu, etc with your subscription) and a DVD for the great room television, binoculars and even a portable computer pad to use while enjoying the outside views and birds while on the there's so much more! This home comfortably sleeps 6 people, features a nice size dining room with mountain views, a laundry room downstairs, and has parking for 3 cars.
In the winter months, enjoy the warmth of the gas fully enclosed stone fireplace, the vast views of the Appalachian Ski Slopes with winter day and night skiing sessions..., the mountain views and much more to do, experience and enjoy!
You can spend your time truly enjoying the view, watching the birds or even listening to the Tweetsie Railroad train whistle in the afternoons (Spring, Summer, & into Fall)! The home is located just a short drive from the charm of Downtown Blowing Rock, minutes to Boone and even closer to the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway. You can enjoy shopping nearby at Tanger Outlets, downtown Blowing Rock and downtown Boone, as well as ample dining options that fit every budget. There's so much to do in the area including Hiking around Bass Lake and Trout Lake, White Water Rafting, dining, visit the infamous Mile High Swinging Bridge at Grandfather Mountain, the Cone Manor Mansion grounds, the "Blowing Rock" as well as the many Wineries in the general area!

This property is close to the ski area so it would be perfect for those who want to be close to winter activities. If you want to be closer to Blowing Rock or Boone, or you don’t like windy roads this is not the place for you. We like to cook so we would have liked more utensils in the kitchen.

The house was very nice with an incredible view! Nice decor and a well stocked kitchen.
Master "suite" is on the 2nd floor with steep stairs. A king bed would've been really nice. We found the queen bed mattress quite hard. Overall we had a great time.

Lovely place to stay. One should be aware that main bedroom is up very steep stairs, and main level floor is very sloped in several rooms. This may be difficult for some people with physical impairments. No linens or paper products included should be better highlighted when booking. These inconveniences, when known ahead of time, should not be a deterrent to renting this beautiful home with outstanding views! We will visit again :)

Place was wonderful, lots of nice touches, great house. View was so nice, especially watching all the wildlife. We stayed in and got some much needed R&R, doing puzzles by the fireplace at night, nearby hikes during the day. Would definitely stay again.
