great time in Blowing Rock; please see my previous review, as the rental was about the same as last year

Good property for us, but would not suit some. Caution: not a luxury property, both toilets 2.75" clearance to walls, ceiling lacks soundproofing, sloped and uneven walk from parking to front door, downhill walk to Main Street. Pros: proximity to Main Street, porch, A/C and appliances worked well, lots of dishes, etc for cooking.

Rental of C-1

We have been coming to Blowing Rock for the past 7-8 years and have previously stayed in different condo in Village Green a few years ago. This older (40 plus year) small condo development is located 1 block from the downtown activity.
C-1 is a very clean and extremely well furnished unit with a very well equipped kitchen. It is located at a quiet corner of the development.
Melanie and Stephanie from the rental division of Jenkins Realty were a pleasure to work with and we look forward to seeing them next year.

This is our fourth year in this property. The size, furnishings, and location suit our needs. Our only down side is there is an upstairs unit with no noise insulation between the floors.

We found the unit to be as we remembered from past visits. It is well furnished and well maintained. Jenkins responded well. to one service problem. Look forward to next year.

Great location. Just walk a block to the shops. Condo has been updated, has beautiful furniture, kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

This was a return to the same property. The experience met our expectations. It Is in a very convenient location. The rental experience was great.

God experience. Noisy. Can hear street traffic and upstairs movement. We miss the view from higher up units. neat, clean and well appointed.

This condo is located in downtown Blowing Rock. It is in excellent condition with all of the kitchen items you will need. The rental company was very helpful and were prompt in helping me if I needed something to be repaired. I stayed there for the month of July and could have stayed all summer.

The location is perfect! Very cozy with a great kitchen! We loved sitting out on the deck in the evenings. Will definitely book again!

I enjoy staying at this home and look forward to going back.

We enjoyed our time at the Downtown Hideaway - Green Door. The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything we did. We never once got in the car! The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of tvs to watch the NCAA Tournament. Plenty of room for five adults. Places to gather as a family both inside and out. We had a GREAT stay!

We stayed at Downtown Hideaway- Green Door for a long weekend for ASU's homecoming. We had a fantastic time! The location is perfect! We walked to The Speckled Trout for dinner, and Main Street for coffee and shopping. Ordering take-out from Mellow Mushroom was so easy! The house is well stocked with all the items you need, especially the kitchen! The owners have all the extras - paper towels, toilet paper, coffee...and the essentials. The home is clean and the decorations are super cute. We highly recommend this rental. You will not be disappointed and did I mention the location is perfect!

Green door was as advertised...perfect location within steps of Main Street, spacious, clean, comfortable furniture. Fully stocked kitchen, toiletry items, games, and books.
We enjoyed every minute of it.
Only hiccup was using the keypad to enter - it did not work. We contacted Jenkins and they informed us of a key; said that they would send someone out to fix the keypad but it was not fixed during our stay. We only had the one key to share between 2 couples but it was not a big deal.
We would definitely stay there again.

We loved everything about our stay here! 5 of us stayed for a girls weekend and it had everything we needed. Super clean, the layout was great, well stocked kitchen, and only a block off Main Street! Our friends rented a house a block away and paid almost 4x as much as we did, so we felt like we got an amazing deal. The house is above another rental so you do have to be aware of the people below you, but it wasn’t an issue as we were gone out of the house until late. We’ll definitely book again!

Great location- walking distance to all of downtown. The accommodations were so nice. We loved the fire pit and they even supplied wood. The only 2 things that we ran into was the keypad lock didn’t work so we had to wait for someone to come out to help us and then we were scared we’d get locked out if we left. Also, there were some layers of dust and cobwebs on some furniture that maybe wasn’t easily accessible. Overall, it was absolutely worth the money.

Easy checkin/checkout w/packet for detailed info. Loved keyless entry!

We have rented cabins in the area many times and this location is right next-door to the park library and walking distance to downtown. Only having 2 Wheel Dr. it was an excellent location because the highway adjacent to the prhoperty is plowed right after snow. The house was beautifully updated and although there was no fireplace there was a fire pit outside and plenty of chairs. This location is about 500 feet away from the mellow mushroom pizza bakers which was very convenient having kids. Beautifully updated interior and very well stocked. Our experience and dealings with Jenkins realty went very smooth. Very nice folks.

We had two couples who shared the upstairs unit (Green Door). The location was perfect, easy walking distance to downtown. We loved the well stocked kitchen and open dining and living area. The master bedroom was nice as the bathroom provided much built in cabinet space that we utilized for our clothes. The second bedroom which was very small would benefit having a dresser for clothes. When staying a week, it is nice not to have to live out of suitcases. We enjoyed the outside firepit.

We loved the Green Door. It is nicely furnished with modern bathrooms and kitchen. It's proximity to Blowing Rock is fabulous. We nipped out for coffee before breakfast! On one waitlist for Mellow Mushroom, we relaxed at the house until they texted us that our table was ready. We will definitely return.

This is our second time staying at the Green Door Hideaway. We absolutely LOVE it! It is beautiful inside, completely updated, with lots of space. My family loves the proximity to downtown Blowing Rock. We don’t want to stay anywhere else!

WOW! this house is beautiful! We enjoyed our time together and SO loved the stunning kitchen, and great views! Also the rooms are gorgeously decorated! We walked into town to enjoy the sites, and restaurants. We would definitely return.

We had a great time during our stay at yellow door in blowing rock. The home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We will defintely stay here again when we are in the area.

The only way to get in the Bed is to crawl over the End, Both sides are against the Wall Not good for Old people. In the Living room all the furniture is Dorm furniture, Not one comfortabe place to sit. The place is super convient to town but Not sutiable for anyone ove 30 Sorry. Never stay there again.

Love this house It is so convenient and within walking distance to Main Street Blowing Rock. The house is 3 separate apartments. We only needed a one bedroom and the Yellow Door was perfect. We had a small den with couch and recliner, a kitchenette with everything you'd need. There is a common area with a fire pit outside where you can watch the goings on of Blowing Rock. A great house for larger groups that can split up or gather together.

Great location and perfect rental other than the fact that the hardwood floors are original, and your sleeping experience all depends on the folks upstairs. The first morning, the renters upstairs got up at 6:15 in the morning and walked around with heels first as if to send us a wakeup call that was not requested. They left that afternoon. So problem solved, right? No, the third morning, the cleaning ladies showed up at 6:30 AM to clean the upstairs. So, if you are an early riser, then this unit is perfect for you. Unfortunately, we are NOT. Our unit did have sound machines, but they were no match for the heel first steppers. I don't think it was a weight issue but possibly so. No respect whatsoever, so that was a shame.

Truly as described: a few steps from the Main Street. You can access the whole town without starting the car. Plenty of sights to see and then Blue Ridge Parkway is right there.

We stayed at the Red door Hideaway in order to attend the trout fishing derby. The place was just great! It was recently remodeled and tastefully decorated. It was well stocked with everything you could possibly need inside and out; plus much more. The furnishing were nice and the floor plan perfect for our stay. The location was fantastic with ample parking. It was in walking distance to everything in town including shopping, restaurants and parks. Which is good because downtown parking is a precarious thing. I highly recommend this unit and will definitely stay here again.

Literally walking distance to downtown and brewery. This location was large and accommodating. Nice shower and comfortable beds. Kitchen fully stocked. No sports channels to watch college football and gas fireplace was nonfunctional but overall very enjoyable. Upon arrival, door code did not work so that was a bit frustrating and worrisome since the office was closed on Saturday. Woodlands BBQ is a must and Speckled Trout overpriced for the value. Blowing Rock brewery was reasonable and the Octoberfest beer was very good! A shopping visit to Cabin Fever and The Last Straw is a must. The Glen Burney trail right in BR is challenging and waterfalls were a little/lot disappointing but still a fun hike.

We stay at Red Door every year. The location is perfect, the fire pit is great for cool evenings. The house is always perfectly appointed and comfortable, even for an occasional zoom meeting.

The Red Dorr is absolutely perfect and extremely clean. We had everything we needed and the location is spot on, never needed our car & we even had parking space. We could walk to all the shops and restaurants in Blowing Rock. The rental had everything we needed. Jenkins Rental and the owner of the rental were both fantastic to work with. We will rent the Red Door again and and we will use Jenkins for all rentals going forward.

The downtown hideaway was just ask described. Has all the amenities, clean, super cute and an easy walk into town. The outdoor space with the fire pit, table and swing was an added bonus. Plenty of parking. We will be staying again and highly recommend!

Great location and nice rental management company but the internet and tv functioned only 50 percent of the time we were there. Porch chairs were broken and the keyless entry system did not work.
This could be a nice place to rent if the owners took care of it. If they advertise internet service it should be functional since you are paying for it to work.

It is a very cute house and walking distance to everything! I booked this place for the location and for the fire place (THAT DID NOT WORK). It was really nice other than that!

We had the best time. We come to BR regularly and like to walk Main Street and enjoy downtown BR. We have stayed in this house a number of times and it never disappoints!

Locations in Blowing Rock don't get much better than this. It's about 200 feet from the main street with tons of shopping and dining. The house was wonderful and fully updated. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. Loved it and will definitely stay again if ever in the area.

Great group to work with at Jenkins.. Very accommodating! Would use them again.. The Red door was great we didn't use the kitchen much it was small but had enough to get by. Loved the layout for 3 girls. But could work for families too. Super cute and great location.
